![]() This games ONLY saving grace is the fact that it's a Guilty Gear game. That's all I wish to say about the RTS gameplay. Next is the RTS gameplay, it's useless, it's a waste of time and in certain missions you can ignore it altogether and just make a mad dash to the enemy base and win. Combat also doesn't feel good in practice either, there's no feedback, everything feels like you're hitting air, and if your Dynasty Warriors rip off doesn't have satisfying weighty feedback, you've already failed. ![]() Unlike in the good games, moves in this game are input by either, feverishly spamming the X button and praying, or locking on to single enemies and using directional inputs combined with the X and Y buttons, you're not doing anything, you're just holding down and Y and Sols just doing his uppercut now, cool I guess. Lets start with the Warriors side of the game, GG2 tries to translate the fighting game moves into this 3D space, and it simply does not work, sure Sol has all his cool fighty moves but none of them feel good, and that's mainly because of this input method. Guilty Gear 2 is a weird gross amalgamation of Dynasty Warrior gameplay and RTS gameplay, and it does neither of these things well.
